Starbucks is adding a Halloween Frappuccino to its fall menu. The Black Cat Frappuccino blended beverage arrives at select U.S. coffeehouses on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2026, according to the company’s announcement.
What’s in the Black Cat Frappuccino
Starbucks describes the drink as a chocolate cake-flavored Crème Frappuccino, which means it’s made without coffee. It’s topped with whipped cream and two pieces of chocolate shaped like cat ears.
Because it’s a crème-based Frappuccino, it should be a caffeine-light option for kids and anyone avoiding a late-afternoon coffee, though chocolate does contain small amounts of caffeine. We’ll update this story with nutrition details once they appear in the Starbucks app.
A new cookie, too
The drink launches the same day as the Venti Black Night Cookie, a large, shareable black cocoa cookie with caramel fudge pieces and caramelized white chocolate chunks. It’s also listed for select U.S. stores starting Oct. 22.
Halloween merch is already out

If you’re after the matching cup, you don’t need to wait. Starbucks’ Halloween merchandise went on sale Sept. 15, while supplies last. The collection includes:
- Black cat ceramic mug, $19.95
- 14-ounce cauldron ceramic mug, $16.95
- 23-ounce glow-in-the-dark black cat stainless steel cold cup, $29.95
- Black Cat Bearista plush bag charm, $14.95
What we don’t know yet
Starbucks says the drink is available at “select” U.S. coffeehouses and hasn’t said how long it will stay on the menu. Limited-time Halloween items usually disappear by early November, so plan accordingly.
We’ll be ordering one on launch day for a full review, with photos. Spotted it early at your store? Send us a tip.
