Corrections Policy
We fix mistakes quickly and tell you what we changed.
We work hard to get every detail right, from release dates to store addresses to prices. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and transparently.
How we correct errors
- Factual errors are corrected in the story, and a note at the end explains what was wrong and when it was fixed.
- Significant errors that change the meaning of a story, such as reporting a closure that isn’t happening, are corrected with a clear note at the top of the article.
- Minor fixes, such as spelling or formatting, may be made without a note.
- Developing stories are updated as new information arrives, with the “Updated” date shown below the headline.
We do not quietly delete stories to hide mistakes. In rare cases where a story must be removed, for example for legal reasons, we will explain why.

If you see something that looks wrong, please tell us through our contact page. Include the story link and what you believe is incorrect. An editor reviews every correction request.
